Photofacials are ideal for patients who wish to even out their skin tone and texture while reversing the signs sun damage. During these types of treatments, there may be minimal discomfort during the procedure.
After your session, you may apply your make-up and resume your normal activities. We do ask you to avoid prolonged sun exposure and wear SPF 30 on a regular basis.
Photofacial IPL treats a wide variety of skin conditions including:
- Actinic Keratosis
- Sun Damage
- Broken Capillaries
- Age Spots
- Dark Circles around the Eyes
- Sun-Induced Freckles on the Hands, Chest and Face
Total treatment time takes from five to sixty minutes depending on how many areas will be treated. After treatment, normal activities may be resumed immediately, with the exception of sun exposure and tanning. Patients are advised to avoid tanning beds and/or prolonged sun exposure to the treated areas and to wear a sunscreen of at least SPF 30 when engaging in outdoor activities.
