Thermage® FLX  Treatment in Sugar Land, TX

Is Thermage® FLX Treatment Painful?

Like laser treatments, radiofrequency skin tightening has a reputation for being uncomfortable. The Thermage® system has been improved in recent years to address the issue of comfort. For your Thermage FLX treatment, you won't need any kind of anesthetic. No sedation nor a topical numbing cream. The system itself will attend to your comfort as we work to tighten loose, sagging skin! Thermage is designed with proprietary Comfort Pulse Technology™. This includes a vibrating handpiece that delivers energy in the most efficient manner through advanced treatment tips, which are selected based on the treatment area. These treatment tips disperse energy more efficiently across the treatment zone, resulting in maximum effects with minimal discomfort. During your treatment, you may feel a pressure sensation as the applicator is applied to your skin. As pulses of radiofrequency energy are delivered to the dermis, you may feel a warming sensation. This lasts momentarily because the handpiece is then moved to the adjacent treatment zone.

When Will I See the Results of My Thermage® FLX Treatment?

One of the advantages of Thermage FLX treatment is that the radiofrequency energy immediately tightens the collagen strands that give the skin its shape. This allows you to see some effects of your treatment as soon as we're done! Keep in mind that these improvements will continue for up to six months as collagen proliferation and remodeling occur.

How Many Thermage® FLX Treatments Will I Need?

This radiofrequency skin-tightening treatment is designed to achieve results with just one session!

How Often Should I Get Touch-up Treatments?

Your body slows down its production of collagen early in your adult life. Thermage FLX stimulates an increase in production for about six months. The results can last up to a few years depending on how well you take care of your skin, your overall health, your DNA, and sun exposure. That said, regardless of these factors that work against your collagen, you can commit to maintaining consistent collagen production by scheduling touch-ups once or twice a year. In the first year after your Thermage FLX treatment, you'll get an idea of how quickly your body and habits break down natural collagen structure. Your provider can also help you determine the best, most customized treatment schedule based on the condition of your skin at the time of your appointment.

What Areas Can Thermage® FLX Treat?

Another advantage of the Thermage FLX system is that it can be used on the face and body. This treatment can be used to prolong the appearance of youth by getting a head start against the signs of aging. It can correct mild to moderate tissue laxity caused by aging, pregnancy, weight, and other factors. The development of AccuREP technology helps the Thermage FLX platform treat a wider variety of areas with uniform radiofrequency delivery, which has increased treatment precision and maximized collagen stimulation.

Some of the areas and concerns that we address with Thermage FLX include:

  • Hooded upper eyelids
  • Crow's feet
  • Jowls
  • Mild to moderate submental fullness
  • Loose neck skin and neck bands
  • Loose skin on the backs of the arms
  • Wrinkling and loose skin over the knees
  • Lax, sagging skin on the abdomen
  • Cellulite on the abdomen, buttocks and thighs

I've had Dermal Fillers in the Area I Want to Have Treated. Can I Get Thermage® FLX ?

You can! Peer-reviewed clinical studies have shown that Thermage FLX can safely be performed in areas that have received dermal fillers. We can also treat areas that have previously been treated with neuromodulators like BOTOX® Cosmetic. Do let us know if you've been treated with silicone injections. This is one of the few injectables that contradicts the Thermage FLX treatment.
